In the pursuit of the objective of Outros Mercadus, the OutrosMercadus Award was launched in 2006, with the clear intention of optimizing the interdisciplinary crossing and, above all, carrying out a survey of what better is fulfilled in the area of ephemeral interventions.
Similarly to the first two editions, the 2010’s edition will have the objective of distinguishing and promoting the recognized public of works of architecture/design/ephemeral spaces, which took place in the biennium of 2008 and 2009, being extensible to the most diverse areas of culture, such as cinema, theatre, exhibitions, as well as public spaces, expositors [stands], among other interventions whose common trace is the concept of non eternity.
Professionals, architects, designers, plastic artists, production companies or customers, with fixed residence in Portugal and respective consent of the authors can compete. The value of the Award for the winning work will be of 10.000€.
The OutrosMercadus `10 Award counts with the organization of the Order of the Architects [OA] and the Portuguese Center of Design [CPD], with the support of the Portuguese Association of Designers [APD] and the National Association of Designers [AND], with the sponsorship of Multitema Company [Management of the Graphical Production] and Alexandra Melo [official photographer].
Also counting with the Magazines “Espaço e Design” as Media Partner and “Espaço de Arquitectura” as Web Media Partner.
